Our Old Vines Chenin Blanc 2020, is Ian's first Chenin Blanc produced entirely from a single vineyard.

Where the previous vintages represented a blend of terroirs with grapes coming from 35-50 year old vines in the Swartland, Durbanville and Stellenbosch, the 2020 vintage is from a Agter-Paardeberg vineyard.
Whole bunch pressed, the juice underwent natural fermentation in older oak barrels where it was kept on the lees for 6 months.
This vintage will definitely make you think.

 

With minimal interference and no additions barring some sulphites, this wine will age for 20+ years.
